Description

Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Grisedale offers breathtaking views and serene solitude. Situated approximately 3 miles from the renowned Settle/Carlisle railway and Garsdale Station, it provides convenient access to transportation. Nearby attractions include the charming village of Hawes, renowned for its Wensleydale cheese, (8 miles), and Sedbergh, (7 miles). The surrounding area of Grisedale is a tranquil haven, boasting stunning natural beauty ideal for a restful holiday. Birdwatchers will delight in the diverse avian population, including birds of prey. Wildlife enthusiasts may also spot red squirrels, stoats, hares, and deer amidst the pristine surroundings. With its proximity to the Pennine Way, the Three Peaks, and the Howgill Fells, Grisedale beckons adventurers with a wealth of hiking opportunities. Additionally, the nearby Ingleborough area offers captivating limestone scenery, while the Lake District lies just a short drive away, promising further exploration and adventure.

Step down to the front door, where you can kick off your muddy boots in the porch, before entering through the 19th-century doors. The open-plan kitchen/diner is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a feast before a day in the dales. The utility room is home to the washing machine, tumble dryer and coal store. On the same floor, you can find the first bedroom – a delightful double – and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Stepping up to the living room, you’ll find a TV which invites you to settle down for cosy evenings by the wood burner, or balmy evenings with the French doors ajar. Upstairs, you can find a cosy reading area and the second bedroom, which can be made up as either a twin or super-king for your convenience. The second shower room can also be found on this floor.

Feel free to explore the enclosed garden at your leisure, where you can savour a morning cup of coffee while admiring the vast scenery. Take advantage of the natural darkness for a delightful evening of stargazing.
