Skipton
Skipton is a market town located on the course of the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to the south of the Yorkshire Dales. Skipton is able to boast Skipton Castle, constructed in 1090. Skipton became a prosperous market town, trading sheep and woollen goods and still has a cobbled street, Sheep Street.

The town provides an ideal base for a walking trip and is close enough to the Dales and the Lakes for days out.

Reviews

We have used this Cottage numerous times, because it is well located, with adjacent parking and a very helpful Owner, who deals with any Requests or Issues promptly.

Mr F,

Bobbin Cottage is a cosy place to spend a few days exploring the dale's. The interior is modern and very comfortable, although the single bedroom is quite small. The heating is very effective and we were never cold. Kitchen is well equipped so we had no difficulty cooking our meals. Shops are close by and the Royal Shepherd pub around the corner serves outstanding food. The Leeds-Liverpool canal is almost at your front door and provides hours of peaceful walks beside the water. We would recommend this cottage for couples wanting a relaxing holiday in Skipton.

Mr B,

Nice and comfortable but not much info about appliances

Mrs W,

What a fantastic gem in the heart of Skipton! We had a wonderful week. The cottage is very well presented with all that we needed. Beds were very comfortable and chair and sofa fitted well in living room. Outside area with chairs and table was great and a bench looking towards the canal was a lovely little suntrap. We discovered the quick route to the high street so really in the centre of everything. Bonus parking space made everything easy. Many thanks for the delicious biscuits, will definitely be recommending it to friends.

Miss S,

This cottage is ideally located in Skipton, just a minutes level walk to the main high street and only a few minutes to the castle. It is lovely to sit on the bench and look at the canal which is only a minute away. Everything had been thought of for our comfort and there were nice touches like milk and biscuits waiting for our arrival. The castle visit was very good and we would definitely recommend to hire a boat for the day on the canal. Great experience. We hope to return

Mrs S,

Great cottage, well-kept with quality fittings etc, extremely handy for High Street.

Mrs W,

This cottage was perfectly situated for a holiday in Skipton minutes from the town. The cottage was well equipped and had everything you needed for a stay. Also provided was tea, coffee, biscuits etc. which is very handy having travelled a fair distance. It has a lovely quiet and secluded outside space for sitting. The stairs up to the bedrooms were a bit steep for me but luckily there was a toilet both upstairs and down. Skipton is a busy town particularly at the weekends the people are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of pubs and cafes all selling good food and a variety of beers.

Mr G,

A lovely clean, well equipped and comfortable cottage in a great location. Highly recommended.

Mrs G,

Every thing about this cottage - furnishings, comfort, cleanliness and location was first class. Would definitely book again.

Mr S,

Excellent cottage in perfect location

Mrs B,

We would, it's a lovely cottage and is well positioned in Skipton.

Mr P,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bobbin cottage, which was ideally located both for the town of Skipton and the sights of the surrounding area. It's a lovely little end of terrace cottage with private parking and we found the accommodation to be ideal for a couple. It's got a nice seating area to the side that gets the sun in the afternoon and it's in a quiet location a matter of strides from the canal towpath.

Mrs T,

Well positioned in a lovely Market Town .

Mr F,

Bobbin Cottage is a rare find and have been here many times. The location is perfect, ideal accomodation for couples and very near the canal.

Mrs S,

Beautiful cottage in a very quiet location near the canal boats yet central to Skipton . Very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Mr P,

Bobbin cottage is absolutely beautiful, the location is perfect only minutes from the town, the whole experience is five star and i wont hesitate in booking up again.. Our stay was perfect.. Thank you..

Mrs D,

Bobbin Cottage is in a superb location in the centre of town. It's clean and comfortable and has everything we needed for a smashing break away.

Mr P,

What a lovely little cottage in a perfect location, we booked a last minute visit to bobbin cottage and we weren’t disappointed. We arrived late to a nice toasty cottage with local biscuits to welcome us, we also found provisions to make hot drinks and fresh milk in the fridge. The location is perfect for everything but also quiet, honestly we can’t wait to rebook and come back. Thank you.

Ms L,

A beautifully modernised, well equipped, warm and cosy cottage in a brilliant location right in the middle of Skipton, with parking right outside. Easy walks along the canal and into the town centre without having to move the car. Even off season (and in the winter storms!) we were warm and dry and enjoyed our stay in Bobbin Cottage very much.

Mrs C,

Allocated parking for one car, great location for access to town centre, castle, woodlands walk and canal.

Mr W,

Brilliant location, so handy for everything.

Mr F,

Booked Bobbin Cottage for my brothers birthday, he loved it, he said it was clean comfortable and cosy, it had everything he needed, in an ideal location, he can’t wait to return to this lovely cottage. Thank you

Mr N,

Very impressed with the standard of cleaning and preparation of the property for our visit. Comprehensively equipped. Very quiet location, right in the centre of the town. Great to have a parking space. Outside sitting area private and sunny. A welcome pack on arrival was a pleasant surprise, especially the cakes! Would definitely recommend ,as good train/bus links, as well as canal trips.

Mr Christopher G,

Very convenient location. Good parking. A lovely Market Town right on your doorstep.

Mr F,

Excellent cottage, in a fantastic location. Having the parking space was an added bonus. Definitely book again.
