Description

Welcome to T’Lasses Cottage, which is part of Grange Hall and is so called because in an inventory of this ancient house in the early 1700’s, that’s what the rooms upstairs were entitled: where T’Lasses slept after a hard day’s work. This ancient property has been thoroughly modernised whilst retaining some of the original features such as mullion windows, beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls.

This high-quality cottage offers two en suite bedrooms to the first floor and an open plan living area downstairs, T’Lasses Cottage is very well equipped and is ideally positioned for a relaxing holiday whilst being a short drive away from the popular market town of Skipton, Bronte country, Ilkley and Lower Wharfdale are all within easy reach. For those of you who like to use two wheels instead of two legs, there is secure on-site cycle storage.  The open plan living area is comfortably furnished with the lounge area having patio doors that leads onto one of the outside areas, the other courtyard is off the side door and this is ideal for catching the afternoon sunshine.  This newly refurbished high-quality cottage would make a fantastic break whatever the time of year.

Reviews

A beautiful cottage in a lovely location where you can stay with your dog. This is our second stay here over Christmas and we loved it as much this time as the first.

Dr W,

We had a wonderful weekend - the cottage was cosy and comfortable and well equipped. Our only disappointment was that we weren’t fit enough to walk to the pub and back again. The distance is short but the hill was steep - no problem for the young and fit. We had an excellent meal at The White Lion and lots of lovely walks a short drive from the cottage.

Mrs C,

Yes - previous guests comments would be enlightening. Why is it not possible to comment directly on your web site? My comments in summary The accommodation is lovely, the outside space is not dog secure, because it is shared with the owner that lives in the adjoining property. The external lighting for the car park area was non functioning . It's November, dark and raining, and the steps are 3 and a half - so the last step is irregular - just right for tripping up in the dark. The dishwasher not working seems to be a recurring problem. The little notes telling you what to do are rather "school teacher" Finally, the note to strip the bed on your exit - for safety reasons, I guess covid? is now just wrong. we have stayed in many venues and never been asked to strip the beds.

Mr B,
