Eight weeks ago - after a very successful campaign to find an unsung hero who is off to the Yorkshire Dales - we set out to find another four unsung heroes who were in need of a well-deserved cottage holiday, but this time to a beautiful cottage in stunning Snowdonia! We invited people from all over the country to nominate a friend, a neighbour, a colleague who is a real unsung hero - someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty and never puts themselves first. A special someone who's done something surprising and kind and generous for someone else without being asked and asking for nothing in return either.
All they needed to do was tell us why they believed their nominee deserved a much-needed break. After receiving so many nominations, it was a real challenge to chose just four finalists but we managed in the end. Then the public got to voting and now the finalist with the most public votes is all set to enjoy a 7-day break in the wonderful Welsh countryside. More than that though, the runners up will be going on a mini-break to a holiday cottage of their choosing somewhere in the UK too! After all, they all #DeserveaBreak don't they!
