Reviews

We stayed at Driftwood Cottage over Christmas and we were a party of 4 adults and 4 children. The property is so well equipped, with everything we needed and more. We were a few minutes walk away from the beach and the heart of the village where there are a small selection of shops, cafes pubs and restaurants. The passenger ferry runs between Shaldon and Teignmouth throughout the daytime and the bust stop is just around the corner from the property which was handy for getting to Torquay and surrounding areas. I would definitely stay at Driftwood Cottage again as the property was comfortable with a fantastic location. Thank you to the owner for helping to make our holiday a great one.

Mr M,

It appeared that the cottage has recently been renovated and refurbished as everything seemed new. The oven and microwave need a special type of brain to operate, but one of the party worked it out. The instructions (accessed via QR code) were only marginally helpful. Very comfortable beds and the living room was plenty big enough for all of us. Absolutely loads of equipment in the kitchen so we never ran out of mugs and glasses. The shower rooms and bathroom were spotless and easy to operate. It was an easy 10 minutes walk to the beach and the London Inn pub which serves good food. The owner was quick to respond to my queries and she was very helpful. I would recommend this cottage 100%.

Mrs F,

Would definitely recommend this cottage, fabulous location and close to amenities.

mr W,

Lovely house with lovely views and very convenient for Shaldon where everyone was very helpful & friendly. We really appreciated the decking with the most amazing sunsets-it was a good week!

Mrs M,

Wonderful house. Spread over 3 floors its ideal for families with grandparents who can use the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The newly fitted kitchen is a dream. The brand new crockery and cutlery is an added bonus. Comfortable lounge with new sofas is perfect to sit in in the evening if it’s too chilly to sit out on the decking or the upper decking . Really is the perfect family house for a holiday. 3 bathrooms all with showers and a bath in the family bathroom is ideal for bathing children. I would say this house is perfect and I can’t think of anything that it needs to be improved

Mrs E,

Excellent location with easy walking distance to the shaldon estuary. A real suntrap of a garden which was lovely to spend time in on a night. The parking was difficult for us as we had two cars. The carport was good for the first one but it was a bit of a nightmare finding a space for the second one every day.

Miss d,

Driftwood was a very well equipped holiday house. Our family, ages from 6 to 80, all enjoyed our time there. Shaldon is a lovely village, and the house is close to the centre, where there is a good village store, and great cafes and pubs. The beach is close by, and the ferry to Teignmouth.

Mrs B,

We had a lovely week at Driftwood cottage it has all you need for a perfect stay. The position makes it in easy reach of many places to visit we loved the boat ride across to Teignmouth saved having to drive and park. Plenty of pubs and shops within walking distance and a great fish and chip shop down the road. Would recommend this cottage for a great stay in this part of Devon.
