North Wales is a place so wild that many of its highest peaks can still only be fully accessed on two feet – making it a powerhouse destination for anyone who loves walking and hiking. Join me on my journey around some of my all-time favourites – you won’t want to miss a mouthful!

There’s so much beauty to enjoy in North Wales. It’s in the mountain ranges you’ll wind your way through on the narrow country lanes. In the rolling pastures dotted with sheep and cattle. And the warm welcomes of the locals waiting to say hello and share a few tips on places to see while you’re here.

If you need to work up a sweat to earn your fish and chips on Bournemouth beach, I’ve got the active pursuits for you. Enjoy our beautiful countryside as your backdrop as you tear down cycle paths, pound the pavements or leave dry land far behind aboard a traditional tall ship. 

Down here on the south coast, nature is alive. From the birds stopping off on our shores during their migration to bugs and minibeasts that make this a living landscape. The flowers, the trees, the habitats that have flourished under the Dorset sun and will remain here for generations to come. Come and find your peaceful retreat amongst the nature of Dorset. 

Dorset is a county teeming with history and heritage to discover. From imposing National Trust properties to tiny attractions keeping the past alive, there really is something for everyone – no matter your age or interests. I’ve tried to list my favourites but, with so much to choose from, I’m sure you’ll be able to tell me about something just as magical after you’ve had the chance to visit us in person.

Dorset’s coastline is a feast for the eyes and soul. From the sweeping silhouette of Durdle Door to the gently undulating sands of Weymouth Bay and the layered cliffs of Lulworth Cove, our beaches will leave you feeling invigorated. Let’s take a journey around three of my personal highlights, which are a little off the beaten track but, nonetheless, guaranteed to enchant at any time of year.
